Sitka photo tours

General registration is now open for my 2020 Sitka photo tours. These trips will revolve around at least three excursions (with possibly an option for a fourth) onto Sitka Sound to photograph Humpback whales (maybe even other species of whale), sea otters, seals, sea lions, and birds. We’ll also photograph scenery and fishing boats.
On land we’ll explore harbors, Totem Park, rain forests, the town of Sitka, and Harbor Mountain.
Tour dates are August 3-8 and August 8-13 and are limited to four participants each.
For more information on the tour, visit my Sitka page.
Three spaces in the first tour have already been spoken for by those on the early notify list.
Since space is so limited, email me for availability (just respond to this email). I'll take requests on a first come, first served basis.
Let me know your date preference. If that date is full, would you want the other date?
I'll respond letting you know if the space is available. If it is, I'll also send a link where you can sign up by check or PayPal.
If you want to use a credit card over the phone, give me your phone number and good time to call.
If both tours sell out I’ll look into adding a third tour that will either be directly before the first or directly after the second.

2020 Aurora tours have sold out
The 2020 aurora tours to Yellowknife led by me and John Barclay have sold out.
But don't despair. Yet. We've started waiting lists for each tour and since these tours are over a year away, there's a decent chance that some people may cancel.
So if you're still interested in this tour, send John an email and ask to get on the waiting list.

Olympic National Park 2020
The July 2020 photo tour to Olympic National Park I’m co-leading with John Barclay has sold out. If you want to get on the waiting list, contact John and ask to be added.
However, I still have room in my May 13-17, 2020 Olympic National Park workshop. What’s the difference you ask! Well, let me tell you.
First of all, the May trip is limited to 7 people. And May is the best time for the rain forest, moss covered rocks in the streams, and waterfalls. Everything is green and lush. In May, the park is less crowded.
But in May there won’t be any wildflowers on Hurricane Ridge and it will still be snow covered in some places. That’s why the May trip is based out of Forks, on the western side of the park. We’ll mainly concentrate on forests and big trees, waterfalls, Lake Crescent, streams and the beaches. Check it out here.

Other 2020 workshops
Both the Death Valley and Bandon workshops I'm leading with Cliff Zenor are open for registration.
Death Valley is like the Palouse. Only without water. Or green. Or barns. But still. It's graphic and stark and beautiful. Visit the Death Valley page here.
Bandon is one of the most iconic locations on the Oregon Coast. It's got, in my opinion, the best collection of sea stacks you'll find anywhere. There are also some great state parks nearby as well as a couple of lighthouses. Take a look at what's in store here.
And I've got firm dates for the 2020 Palouse workshop June 16-21. I'm also co-leading this trip with Cliff Zenor.
The Palouse is one of my favorite locations. There's always something incredible to photograph and each year I find something new. The Palouse just keeps giving and giving.
Visit my Palouse page for more info and to sign up.

Football!

I still miss the heck out of my little girl Bailey. But here she is from November of 2017 showing off her Seahawks gear.
Speaking of the Hawks, they're baaaack and have their first 2019 pre-season game tonight. Yay!
