Don Mammoser and I have our 2009 schedule posted. Not all the
details for all the workshops have been worked out yet
but feel free to send deposits anyway. For 2009, Don
will be collecting the payments. Deposit for most all
workshops is $200 (deposits for workshops to Triple
D are typically $400). Visit our Poli
cies Page for details.

If you're trying to market your images, they have to be
found to be sold. Keywords are the key, so to speak, to
getting your images to show up in a search. There
are several good keywording programs out there
including Image Info Toolkit. Combined with a Controlled Vocabulary keyword
catalog, you can add pertinent keywords to you
images rather quickly
The problem for me has always been coming up with the words in the first place. Now there's a new program out there that claims to solve many of our keywording problems. fotoKeyword Harvester is by Cradoc Bagshaw, the creator of the industry standard photo pricing software, Fotoquote. I have yet to try it out as I just got the email announcement about it last night, but if it's anything like his other programs, it's going to be well worth the $149 licensing fee ($99 introductory price until July 14, 2008). |

I certainly hope you're in a part of the country where
the weather isn't making you miserable. It's been cold
and rainy here in the northwest; so far we're
registering the coldest June in something like 100
years. I know you people back east would probably kill
to have this weather.
And I certainly haven't been having the best of luck with weather on workshops. If we want clouds or fog for forest or waterfall shots, we've gotten bright sun and high temps. If we wanted blue skies with puffy white clouds we've been getting wind, clouds and rain. But things weren't always awful, as the accomanying picture shows. |

That's all I can come up with for now. Happy Father's
Day to all you fathers out there, including my own son!
(yep, that makes me a grandpa for all of you who didn't
already know)
