Greetings
I can't believe November is already here. Where did October go?
Anyway, I'm heading to Zion next week for my last workshop of the year, hopefully the fall color will be good. Either way, Zion is one of my favorite parks and I always enjoy spending time there.
OP Article

In case you haven't seen it already, I have a new article in the November issue of Outdoor Photographer. If you have yet to receive your issue, or you don't subscribe, you can still read it on their website here.
Singh-Ray Blog

You may remember last month when I told you about Singh-Ray's new photo blog. Well, they just published my first entry, which you can read here.
Also be sure to check out some of the other entries. You'll find other photographers writing about using vari-nd filters, infrared filters, grad nd filters, and other filters, as well as some just plain old good photo advise.
CO Wildflowers workshop sold out

Although the Colorado Wildflowers workshop is sold out (we'll be take names for a waiting list), Don Mammoser and I still have openings in our Sept. 2008 Slot Canyons/Monument Valley workshop as well as our Zion workshop, which is in late October 2008.

Both of these are great locations and fall color in Zion makes this already colorful park even more colorful.
The accompanying image is from this year's Slots/Monument Valley workshop. It's an easy to reach location north of Page, AZ and a great sunrise or sunset location, so we'll be sure to visit it again.

Other Workshop News

David Middleton and I will be leading two workshops next year for Great American Photo Workshops (GAPW).
April 30 to May 4th we'll be in Redwoods National Park and July 23-27 we'll be on the Oregon Coast based out of Newport, OR.
Even though GAPW has not posted its 2008 schedule yet, I'm told that you can still sign up for these workshops. Call Rhonda at 1-866-747-4279 to get on the list.

Looks like I may be adding a few more workshops next year for The Nature Workshops. Possiblities include Oregon Waterfalls, Washington's Palouse region, and Olympic National Park.
As soon as these are confirmed and scheduled I'll post them to my website.

Winter Wildlife Workshop

As far as I know, there is still some room left for the Triple "D" Animals in Winter workshop I'm leading Jan. 15-18. This is a great opportunity to get photos of mammals in the winter and I'll be conducting classroom/critique sessions to help you get the most of your time at Triple D.

And don't forget, Triple D now has a pair of young snow leopards. Personally, I'm looking forward to photographing these two. I saw them the day they arrived but I've yet to get a chance to photograph them.
If you're interested in this shoot, give Kathleen or Jay a call at 406-755-9653

Time to Go

Well that's it. Besides my pool of drool over the new Nikon cameras coming out, there's not a whole lot more to mention.
(And yes, I'm still working on that bathroom remodel; now leave me alone!)

'Til next month.
